What if the UK had a museum dedicated to decolonising our minds from the dominant paradigm?
To expose how we are conditioned by values that may need questioning, and that every element of society is affected by this.
To show how language and perceptions can shape our world.
To expose that not only did we colonise others, but that we were first colonised. (See Definition: Rooted and Kinship Worldview).
To examine everything about our society and question which parts can exist apart from the colonised worldview?
This could feature art, documentary, words, experiences. There could be an outside space for interacting with nature. Exhibits on animism. Historical exhibits examining how our conditioning unfolded. Imaginariums on how we might live differently.
(Note: this is different from and broader than a museum just about how we colonised the world or decolonising existing museums (although these may be encompassed within it). Colonisation does not just mean European colonisation of other parts of the world but the colonisation of our world that eliminated ancient Indigenous practices across Europe, sometimes referenced to as Celtic, pagan and druid cultures.)
If you know anyone who might want to bring this into reality, please share this with them!
